Introduction

Hi, I’m Ayden (aka. ’eyegog’), a computer goblin with a background in development and IT operations. You’ve found my blog, and its main mission is to provide documentation that I wish existed for things I was trying to learn or problems I had to solve, but may also contain the odd rant here and there. It now also hosts photos of pretty places I’ve visited in the British countryside. :)

Some of my main areas of expertise are:

• Networking: TCP/IP networking stacks. Configuring enterprise networking hardware. Programming with raw sockets (mainly in C). Packet injection and inspection (mainly in C). Kernel networking stack implementations.
• Unix (-like): Professional systems administrator for linux-based infrastructure. Software development on Unix and Linux platforms. FreeBSD enthusiast. Unix operating system internals. Unix networking stacks.
• DevOps: SRE technology stacks. Automation with Ansible. Gitlab CI/CD. Docker and BSD jails. Automation and development with Python.
